1. New classification of T and ZET series air curtains.

T and ZET series models of last releases were upgraded and at present time are united into T series. Below there is a table of correspondence between TROPIK models, which were produced before 2010 inclusive, and new models. Fundamental characteristics of this correspondence are heat output, air flow and temperature difference between incoming and outcoming air.

¹The air curtain can be “forced” up to 12 kW if requested.

2. Can T and ZET series air curtains be installed vertically?

Yes, T and ZET series air curtains can be installed vertically on one side of the doorway from any side.

3. Can A, K and M series air curtains be installed vertically?

No, A, K and M series air curtains are installed only horizontally.

4. What power grids can air curtains be connected to?

  • A3, A5, A6, K2, K3, K5 ,K6, M3 models of air curtains can be connected only to single phase power supply network of 220V, 50Hz.

  • A9, M9, T9, T12, ZET9, ZET12, ZET18 air curtains can be connected only to three-phase power supply network of 380V, 50Hz.

  • M6, T4.5, T6 models of air curtains can be connected to both single-phase and three-phase power supply networks. Delivery of models is accomplished in the version of connection to a single-phase network of 220V. For connection to three-phase 380V network it is necessary to remove jumpers between L1 and L2, L2 and L3 phases according to the connection scheme printed on the inside part of the case and in the operating instruction.

5. Which air curtains are supplied with remote control?

All series of air curtains except A, K and M series are supplied with remote controls.

6. Which air curtains can work with a remote temperature regulator?

  • There is an opportunity of connection of remote temperature regulator to M3K, K5 and K6 air curtains instead of jumper between “TP” terminals. In M3K model temperature regulator turns off the heating completely. In K5 and K6 temperature regulator turns off half of the heating power.

  • There is an opportunity of connection of remote temperature controller to T4.5, T6, T9, T12 into a break of control wire between terminal 3 of the air curtain and terminal 3 of remote control. For T4.5 and T6 air curtains temperature regulator turns of f the heating completely. For T9 air curtain it turns off half of heating power. And for T12 it turns off 2/3 of heating power.

  • There is an opportunity of connection of remote temperature regulator to ZET series air curtains instead of jumper between “TP” terminals. ZET series air curtains can be equipped with remote controls with built-in temperature regulators, if requested.

7. Can several air curtains be connected to single universal remote control?

To single universal remote control it is possible to connect several air curtains (up to four) of all models of T, ZET and M series. 8. Can several air curtains be connected to single universal remote control and single temperature regulator?

For some models if you install several air curtains (up to four) in one place there is an opportunity of controlling them with one remote control and regulating of the temperature with one temperature controller. 9. What are the reasons of appearance of excessive vibration while the air curtain works?

The reason for appearance of excessive vibration of the air curtain while the fan is off might be:

  • A failure of a rubber sleeve, which connects the impeller and the motor shaft;

  • A failure of a bearing;

  • Malfunction of alignment of the motor shaft and impeller;

  • Malfunction of impeller balancing;

  • Mechanical damage of the impeller.

10. What is the temperature difference at inlet and outlet of the air curtains?

The table shows the results of ΔT in normal climate conditions and nominal power supply voltage. If operating conditions are different from mentioned above ΔT can vary ± 25.

11. Is it possible to install air curtains in a tambour?

Yes, air curtains can be installed in a tambour. In tambours of small volume in order to avoid overheating of the air curtain it is necessary to use remote temperature regulator. More detailed information about the use of remote temperature controller is stated in paragraph 5.
